Sustainable & Stylish: The Ultimate Holiday Gift Guide for Thoughtful Girls

Sustainable & Stylish: The Ultimate Holiday Gift Guide for Thoughtful Girls

By Elizabeth McLaughlin...

We get it, giving gifts can be hard. If you're conscious of the environment & the impact consumption has on *everything*, then it's even harder.

Have you ever wished that there was a comprehensive, down-and-dirty list of sustainable stores to shop at for the gift-giving season? Well, we've got you covered!

You can afford luxury, high-quality products at affordable prices, despite what the fashion world is telling you...

Plus, we want to shout out some independent designers who have collections currently on sale for the holidays. Cool girls aren't wearing mass-produced trends, they're wearing art.

FOR INTIMATES:

Hu-ha mineral underwear

Hu-ha

Have you ever heard of mineral underwear? It’s high quality, soothing, and long-lasting. The girls who get it, get it.

FOR MAKE-UP & HAIR:

RMS and Sienna Naturals

RMS

Lip oil is one of those gifts that every girl wants to receive, BUT only if it’s a good quality one. This one from RMS is a welcome addition to anyone’s makeup bag.

Sienna Naturals Wash Day Ritual

Sienna Naturals

Wash-day ritual (get your full purchase back in store credit)

This brand makes it easy to care for your hair with real, natural ingredients – and they even lay out the proper routine for you, eliminating the guesswork.

Colorscience sunscreen

Colorscience

Gone are the days of sunscreen leaving a white cast on your skin. Colorscience has their formula down to a science, literally, so you don’t have to worry about a cast, no matter your skin tone. Check out their multi-pigment sunscreen. They have great clean options for make-up too!

FOR HOME:

Italic towels

Italic

This brand goes straight to the same manufacturers used by luxury hotels like the Ritz Carlton, produces the same quality items, and sells them for less. The softest most durable towels you'll ever own. Plus, whatever you buy from them will last you a long, long time.

FOR CLOTHES & WEARABLE ART:

Holy Thrift

Holy Thrift

Holy Thrift is a marketplace for independent designers & vintage curators. Their mission is to celebrate self-expression & individuality through vintage & small-batch-made-to-order clothing. The platform offers a diverse range of curated pieces: whether it’s one-of-a-kind vintage finds from the best of the best curators or innovative designs from emerging talents, Holy Thrift is where your unique fashion identity comes to life all whilst keeping existing clothing in circulation!

INSTINCT by Anna Molinari

Anna has created pieces for the likes of Julia Fox & Pattie Gonia, and you can buy some of her work online. I personally have been a fan of Anna's for a few years and cannot wait to see what 2025 has in store for her and her brand.

I'm loving this upcycled soda can tab bracelet.

"We don't need new clothes, we just need new ways to do them." - Anna Molinari

HER RAYN

Not only does Harriet have the coolest prints (that any vintage girl would drool over) but she also sells second-hand on her site. She is truly a tree among shrubs & I can't wait to get my first HER RAYN piece in the mail.

ADDY KNITS

This brand creates the dreamiest, softest knitwear. For lovers of all things bright and colorful, this is the perfect brand to shop from during the colder months when you want to feel the coziest!

MAGG'S RAGS

I've been a sleeper fan of Magg's for a while now (sleeper meaning I don't yet own my own Rags but hopefully her most recent drop on 12/13 will change that).

I'm not really sure the best way to describe her art, so I'll just list some of her main characters: martinis, rats, lobsters, to name a few. All of Magg's Rags are made by her out of her studio in Denver and her drops sell out almost instantaneously. If you can get your hands on one of these pieces, you'll be adding a surefire statement piece to your closet.

When it comes to gifting sustainably, it’s not just about buying less—it's about buying better. Whether you're shopping for yourself or your loved ones, these brands prove that you don’t have to compromise on quality, style, or ethics. By choosing gifts that are thoughtfully made and designed to last, you’re supporting independent creators, embracing individuality, and making a positive impact on the planet. So, go ahead—gift consciously and let your presents tell a story of art, care, and sustainability this holiday season.

Thanks for reading & Happy Holidays <3
